France make it four out of four wins.
31/10/03.

France finished the Pool Stage of the Tournament with a fourth straight win, running in five tries in a highly entertaining match against the USA, who replied with two tries of their own.

French centre Brian Liebenberg grabbed a hatrick of tries, with the others coming from Jean Baptiste Poux and Yannick Bru. Outside half Gerard Merceron converted two and added three penalties while scrum-half Dmitri Yachvili completed the French scoring with a dropped goal.

The American tries came from Kort Schubert and Mike Hercus, with Hercus converting both as the Eagles contributed fully to a fast running game.
