England storm back to secure a semi-final spot.
9/11/03.

England produced a superb second half performance to snuff out a spirited Welsh side and set up a semi-final with France.

Tries from Stephen Jones and Colin Charvis had given Wales a shock half-time lead over the pre-tournament favourites, who only managed a Jonny Wilkinson penalty in the first period.

But after the interval England turned possession into points. A Will Greenwood try, converted by Wilkinson, brought the scores level. Wilkinson then kicked five more penalties to give England a 15 point lead. Wales at least had the consolation of a third try through Martyn Williams, which was converted by Iestyn Harris, before Wilkinson dropped a goal to make the final margin of the English victory 11 points.
