Canberra Airport only has direct flights from four other Rugby World Cup 2003 host cities with Sydney and Melbourne taking just under an hour and Brisbane and Adelaide having a two-hour journey time.

The only direct train available to Canberra Railway Station is from Sydney, which takes four hours. To reach Canberra from any of the other host cities, as with flights, you have to change in Sydney.

To drive to Canberra will take four hours from Sydney, 10 hours from Melbourne, around 16 hours from Adelaide and Brisbane, 36 hours from Townsville and more than two days from Perth.
