Wollongong is staging two Rugby World Cup 2003 matches in Canada v Tonga on 29 October and France v USA on 31 October.
Visitors to both games will be able to immerse themselves in Wollongong’s biggest annual festival - Viva La Gong – with 16 days packed with music, food, wine, theatre, art, dance, film and fun.
Highlights include a three day street party with food and wine fair, a dance party under the circus big top and performances of Shakespeare’s Tempest in the Wollongong Botanical Gardens.
For the athletic type and for those who wish to raise money for a worthy cause, the Sydney to Wollongong bike ride is a must.
The event, in its 22nd year, attracts thousands of people, who raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. At around 80km, the route is lengthy, but the views are stunning and the sense of achievement will far outweigh any saddle soreness!
