Eddie O'Sullivan (IRE) – coach
On the effect of the rain:
"It's hard to change your team's plans 10 minutes before game time."
On Namibia's performance:
"Namibia were incredibly strong. We started in a very focussed way. If we were guilty of anything it was probably trying to force the game."
Keith Wood (IRE) - captain
On what the team learned:
"An awful lot. We put them under constant pressure which was very good. But it was horrendous weather. The conditions were bloody awful. There were lots of spills.
"We've trained in perfect weather all week so it was disappointing tonight."
On Namibia:
"I think they have an awful lot of pride. They should be proud [of their performance]."
On Ireland's next match against Argentina on 26 October:
"We are looking forward to the next game, which will be more difficult because we know how physical it will be. We will be training hard for it."
David Waterston (NAM) - coach
On the team's performance:
"We let ourselves down at the start by not settling in the match, but at the end of the day there is not much that we can say ... we hung in there.
"We've definitely gone up a notch from the first game. It's hard to play the best sides in the world. We were out of our league but we never gave up trying."
On improvements from Namibia's previous match:
"We made a lot of improvements from our last match against Argentina, in particular our defence lines and scrummaging."
On the rainy weather conditions:
"The conditions definitely suited the Irish. We were in unfamiliar territory. The weather conditions didn't suit our team."
On Namibia's against Australia on 25 October:
"We are not a threat to Australia, as we are still trying to find our feet in this Tournament."
Sean Furter (NAM) - captain
On the wet conditions:
"Yes it was hard for the guys. Unfortunately we are not used to playing in these conditions. But we will take some things out of it and go forward from here."
