Eddie O'Sullivan (IRE) - Coach
On the state of players for the Australia match:
"We are going to have to review everybody tomorrow from a fitness point of view. We don't have a lot of injuries as such, but our guys got fairly well beaten up."
On the injury to Irish flanker Alan Quinlan:
"For Alan the World Cup is over. He's partially dislocated his shoulder. Obviously the damage is too bad for him to continue in the Tournament."
On Keith Wood's performance:
"I thought it was the performance of a great captain. Cometh the hour, cometh the man ... he's been there before in tight situations and come out on the right side of them.
"So having someone like that out on the pitch certainly gives you an advantage and he really showed great leadership today."
Keith Wood (IRE) - Captain
On the game:
"We seemed to freeze sometimes and this was a phenomenally hard game for us. We got the scores that counted. I'm absolutely thrilled."
Marcelo Loffreda (ARG) - Coach

"I think Ireland won the game because they made fewer mistakes than we did."
On exiting Rugby World Cup 2003 by a single point:

Agustin Pichot (ARG) - Captain
On why Argentina was unable to stay ahead:
"In the last 15 minutes we missed a couple of lineouts and lost some possession which was very vital and those mistakes cost us being ahead of the Irish."
On what the loss will mean to development of rugby in Argentina:
"I'm sure the people will understand. We tried our best with our limitations. We have a lot of things to work out. We're not the best nation, we're not the worst nation. People understand that we are not fully professional.
"We play just because we love it and for the nation."
Ignacio Corleto (ARG) - Full back
On exiting Rugby World Cup 2003:
"It hurts."
Diego Albanese (ARG) - Wing
