What the coaches and players said after the crunch Pool D match between Wales and Italy.
Steve Hansen (WAL) - coach
"At times I didn't think we were very composed. At times I wasn't very composed in the box. When under pressure from the Italians we came back and put our own pressure on them, so by and large we are pretty happy.
"The important thing about this World Cup is that we qualified for the Quarter Finals, for a couple of reasons.
"One is the positive message we can send home and secondly a lot of players in this World Cup will be back next time."
On beating Italy after losing to them in this year's Six Nations tournament:
"It's nice to get the monkey off our back. There was a lot of negativity when we lost to Italy in the Six Nations."
Colin Charvis (WAL) - Captain
"It's been questioned whether our forwards could stand up to their forwards ... It just seemed towards the end of the game that they seemed to lose a bit of steam."
John Kirwan (ITA) – coach on the game:
"The team put everything they have got on the field. The coach can only be satisfied with that."
On whether Italy was fatigued:
"I don't think it is sporting of us to take the victory off Wales on the basis of fatigue. Wales defended very well. Italy gave everything they had. They ran out of juice."
