Rudolf STRAEULI (RSA) - Coach
On the likely prospect of playing New Zealand in the quarter final:
"The game has passed and we're looking to New Zealand. We always knew it was going to be a tough draw between us, New Zealand and England. Someone was going to have to be knocked out."
On South Africa in the remainder of RWC 2003:
"If we can keep this pack together, and with the other opportunities coming from the bench, we've got depth coming from the forwards. Hopefully we don't pick up any injuries and the backs will be okay."
On their improvement since playing New Zealand in Dunedin earlier this year:
"We've had a hard year on and off the field. We've improved day by day in fitness, team spirit and unity. I'm proud to be coaching a team like this."
Corne KRIGE (RSA) - Captain
On the game:
"I think we're a little bit better equipped now. We went through a tough physical and mental campaign. Nothing that the All Blacks or Australia throws at us now can be worse than what we've already been through."
Derick HOUGAARD (RSA) – Fly half
On the tackle on him by Brian LIMA (SAM):
"It definitely was the hardest tackle I've taken in my life, but I'm still breathing so that's a good sign."
On his selection in the Springbok team:
"It's an awesome feeling. It's a great opportunity to play in the World Cup at the age of 20."
On the quality possession the South African back line received:
"I think the forwards played very well which made it a lot easier for the backs."
On his try and being tackled by Brian LIMA (SAM):
"It was awesome to score my try and after that tackle I'm very happy I'm still breathing."
John BOE (SAM) - Coach
On Samoa's performance against South Africa:
"I think quite honestly the England match did take a lot out of the boys mentally and physically ... but not taking anything away from South Africa, they played fantastic. It was a bit of a reality check for us, we're not used to playing at this intensity."
"Unfortunately, we didn't score points and were playing catch up ... but I think in the second half the boys showed tremendous heart and came back."
On Brian LIMA's big hit on Derick HOUGAARD (RSA):
"There were some big hits today. He may not have scored any tries but he certainly scored some big hits."
Michael JONES (SAM) - Assistant Coach
On Samoa's performance against South Africa:
"They definitely controlled a lot of the set pieces, their driving maul was very good, those are the hallmarks of their game."
On South Africa's potential for the rest of the World Cup:
"If put under pressure by a side like the All Blacks, I don't know if they'd execute ... that's no disrespect to them because they played well against us but a fresh All Blacks side could really expose some of their areas ... we just don't have the ability to play week in week out like that (the performance against England)."
Semo SITITI (SAM) - Captain
On the game:
"I think we ran out of petrol. All credit to the Springboks."
On the Tournament:
"Although we didn't achieve our goal of being the best rugby team from Samoa of all time, we enjoyed our time."
